Burley has asked the party to steal the watch from Mr. Witch to ransom it back to him for answers
The session starts in front of Candlefoot the mime at the mirror maze, Burley had suggested that Candlefoot might be able to assist the party with acquiring the watch
Candlefoot indicated that some flying creature who didn’t work for the carnival but didn’t know why they took it
Not sure how to proceed, the party headed over to the lost property area and the displacer beast, Dirlagraun
Dirlagruan said she might be willing to assist and that she stands next to Mr. Witch and escorts him to the crowning of the Monarch
She also said that Candlefoot and Palasha are part of the ceremony and that Palasha had heard about some hecklers in the crowd and was hiding out at the lake
They thanked her and continued on to the feasting grounds to find Kettlestream the kenku
Kettlestream admitted they she stole Candlefoot’s voice and after some pressing from Amrynn and Barnabus, she showed them a corn husk doll with a string around its neck and said if they remove the string, he will regain his voice
She gave the doll to Barnabus
The party then made their way to the carousel to talk to the “centaur” Diana
Diana said she was a warrior who had lost her horse and a hag had helped her find it but also made it a part of her so she never would be a apart from it
She said there is a curse that prevents her from giving any information about the things going on in the carnival but they only talk to those who learn their names
Their names are partially written on them on nameplates in pairs but the they will have to figure out the rest of their names

The party was able to solve the puzzle and Diana says they can ride the carousel for free
The wooden horses come to life as the ride starts and a presence enters each of their mind asking “What are you seeking?”
Each person hears a different voice say they can tell something of what has been lost, “What you’re looking for is lost in Zybilna’s domain of Prismeer. Three hags have taken over, called the Hourglass Coven.”
Fable/Barnabas heard “The thing you have is held by Skabatha Nightshade in a hollowed tree in a sylvan forest”
PB/Amrynn heard “Held by Bavlorna Blightstraw in a rambling cottage on stilts in a fey swamp”
Melina “Endolyn Moongrave, on a mountaintop theatre”
The Hourglass Coven was mentioned by Kettlestream when she was saying what she had overheard from Mr. Witch and Mr. Light
They make their way back to the Hall of Illusions to talk to Candlefoot
Barnabas removed the string from the doll’s neck and then his voice returns, he sprinted off towards the lake to talk to Palasha
By the time the party made it to the lake, Candlefoot had already dove into the water and had made it to the giant shell in the middle of the lake
They came back to the dock after a few minutes
Candlefoot said the Hall of Illusions was where things go and never come back they’re not supposed to talk about it
Palasha said for us to talk with Burley and he might be able to get the rest of the party in place during the ceremony
Normally the ceremony goes as follows:
Mr. Witch will be in a box overlooking the ceremony with Dirlagraun
Mr. Light will give a speech about the Monarch crown and knight the person with his vane
Palasha will then sing a song and then everyone parades around carnival and then the crown goes back into the box
Burley will be outside setting off fireworks as soon as the monarch leaves the bigtop
