After defeating the shadow (allegedly Charm’s), all that was left of it was the spool of thread on the floor
The spool of thread was the color the observer would associate with doubt but they couldn’t determine anything further
The storage room attached to Bavlorna Blightstraw’s bedroom is full of storage crates, empty child-sized caskets, a mounted stag’s head, a 5 foot tall mannequin with a helmet on, and frog statue with a mouth full of darkness
The stag head was likely Clapperclaw’s so they grabbed it
PB used his wild magic abilities and sensed magic on the helmet, the frog and the thread
Barnabus used identify on the frog and learned that it was an inanimate object with a interdimensional space and that you can retrieve items by speaking their name as you reach into the mouth
PB tried to take the helmet and the mannequin came to life and attacked the party and then he quickly
Barnabus reached his hand into the frog and said “100 gold”, he felt mud and eels and then 100 gold pieces appeared in his hand
They tried for several other items including 7-up and the heart of Octavian Melaiamne
At this point, Barnabus’s homunculus noticed a lornling come back up and into the sitting room so they headed back downstairs and waited for Bavlorna to return from her bath
As Bavlorna re-enters the room, the lornling dies
She said that she would give 7-up and Amrynn’s hand back, but requires that we get back at Skabatha Nightshade for sending Charm who she said was sent to spy on her

A large hollowed out tree in the center of Thither, to get there, you would need a guide and recommended Clapperclaw who she said is also a spy for Skabatha Nightshade
She looked over at the dead lornling, muttered under her breath, then coughed and hacked for a while and out came two live lornlings
As they left the room, they barely heard her giving instructions to the new lornings and faint sound of bones crunching as she likely ate the old lornlings and then she said “oh, they went up there”
They met up with Clapperclaw back in downfall and gave him his head back and he said he would guide them to Loomlurch since that’s where he’s from, they would just need a balloon to get there
They met up with Mugwort, and Barnabus told her that they needed to complete a quest and then they may be strong enough to take on Bavlorna Blightstraw
They rested for the evening and left in the balloon at first light with Mugwort and Clapperclaw
As they were flying east, they noticed some lightning in the distance like the balloon of Charm and the Wonderous Ware and Fair Fares store were heading west, maybe towards Yon
They made to the edge of Thither and could see several landmarks in the distance
To the west, a large tree laying on it’s side; to the south, a cave with warm torchlight emanating from it; to the north, a thick jungle; and in the middle of those, a large lake
Some of the party managed to hear a whooshing sound and Clapperclaw said that the Jabberwock would have likely killed any birds
It turned out to be a large dragon-like creature rushing toward the balloon with it’s mouth open and shot a fireball into the top of the balloon and it started careening down
Amrynn pulled out his immovable rod and they quickly tied it to the the attachment points of the balloon and pressed the button as the balloon lowered past the tree line and it slammed to a stop about 30 feet from the ground
Melina used her twin image to teleport to the ground, the rest of the party slid down a rope except for Amrynn that stayed behind and pressed the button on the rod as fast as possible to slowly lower the basket to keep Gary safe
Mugwort said they would be able repair the balloon but it would take some time
From where they were in the air, they could they were near the cave they had seen earlier and could even see it in the distance so they decided to investigate
As they got closer, they saw a cave with warm torchlight coming out of it, there is a large tree out front with a sheet of parchment which turned out to be a drawing of a young man and says “Wanted: Will of the Feywild, bring this wisp of a thief to me and I’ll ensure that no sword can ever break your skin (must bring poster to be valid)”
Melina took the poster for later
An old man with a blindfold was sitting at a loom surrounded by gold and while he was spinning, he reached down and grabbed more gold
He introduced himself as Nib from Waterdeep and said he earned all of this gold by being a scummy landlord
He said he made a deal with Scabbath to make up for his old deeds and live a better life and she cursed him to make magic items
Melina could see several shadowy figures appearing and disappearing behind him and noticed that Nib’s eyes are closed tight like he is trying not to see anything
