The party had just defeated the doll, Pincushion, and the animated rug
Upon hearing that Skabatha was coming, they party went up the stairs from the sewing room to the dormitory with the children in tow
At the top of the stairs was a landing leading to a dormitory with 10 beds with two children, one lying sick in the bed (a dwarf named Broder) and the other tending to it (a human child named Pud)
The human child mentioned that tin soldier often patrol the balcony outside
After conferring with Fungi, Melina found out that the sick child needs to eat a specific type of other mushroom that he could smell nearby
Since the party was going to go outside to try to find the mushroom, and/or somewhere safe for the kids while they tried to find the other kids
Down the stairs outside the dormitory, the party found a pumpkin patch and some open areas patrolled by tin soldiers
Also to the left of that area, there are several scarecrows and a large pile of composting
vegetables and some animal pens and other vegetable patches beyond that
Inside the pumpkin patch, there are some large patches of mushrooms
While searching through the patch, several of the pumpkins burst open and snakes appear, asking Melina and Barnabus why are they there and Barnabus tries the same lie about being a safety inspector, but they didn’t believe him
So they gave up on the peaceful option and decided to fight their way to the mushrooms
They killed one snake and the other two managed to get away but Barnabus managed to find several of each type of mushroom and with Fungi’s help, they found the one that Broder needed and after he ate it, he immediately recovered
Around the corner, hugging the “building” of Loomlurch, there is another door with a rocking horse and another jack-in-the-box
Barnabus examined the rocking horse and noticed a circular hole in the forehead of the horse, he then put the horn of Elidon in the slot
The horse rocked rapidly and an ethereal unicorn appeared behind it who introduced himself as Elidon and that his spirit is now unbound and he will make his way to the Wayward Pool and meet up with his mate, Lamorna to rest
He wished the party well and gave permission to continue using the horn and hoped that it would help them free Zybilna
He then healed the party and blessed them
They entered the building again into a room with no one in it but with several portraits, one of each hag and another woman
Will bounded down the stairs with a few kids leaving just Mischka in the kitchen which the kids indicated was in the next room
Amrynn managed to snag the painting of Skabatha while Barnabus worked on the locked door to the kitchen
He got the door open to see a dog-sized dragon in the kitchen next to a girl peeling potatoes chained to a table
At the same time, Amrynn tried to get the portrait of the lady but ended up pricking himself on one of the thorns which caused the portraits to change to those of his relatives including the one he already took off the wall
The hag was clearly banging and stomping down the hall to the room where the party was with all the kids and the dragon had just noticed Barnabus in the kitchen and would be there in a few moments
