Squirt lead the party off to the land of Yon, which was off west through the a thick wall of fog
After crossing through the mist, the balloon is up against a dark mountainous range in the middle of a thunderstorm
Mugwort said that the balloon couldn’t take much more of the storm and suggested they land at some ruins down below
Squirt said that they should be able to make it to Motherhorn, the tallest mountain where Endelyn Moongrave has a castle
They landed near the ruins and Mugwort secured the balloon
They headed out towards the ruins to investigate
Among the crumbled walls was a weathered throne and nearby, under a rocky outcrop, was a three foot tall dandelion holding a sword with a bumblebee buzzing around
They approached the dandelion, who introduced himself as Amidor and his bee, Polleenella and said he is on a noble quest to protect her
Amrynn told him that Lamorna has told them to seek him out as a guide for Yon and to potentially help them reach the Palace of Heart’s Desire
Amidor said that they are being chased by a giant beast that was trying to imprison Polleenella and use her for her labor
Amidor said that the throne in the ruins is the Astronomer’s throne and that it was a magical object
PB used his magic awareness and could tell that there was a significant amount of divination magic
Inscription on the throne in elvish:
I am a traveler from a distant land.
My name is Mazikoth, Keeper of Stars.
Sit on my throne, disciple, and unravel.
Amrynn sat on the throne and felt unnaturally cold and drowsy
He looked up at the sky and the night sky seemed to move closer and closer to him
It kept zooming in until he saw a far away star that looks to be cold and dying
For the rest of the party, Amrynn’s eyes go dark and he stares solidly at the sky as he breaks out into an intense sweat
He snaps out of the trance back to the throne and feels a sense that he learned something
Amrynn gained a Fragment of Mazikoth’s Sight, giving him proficiency in one a few skills
Amidor gave them some information about the region
- The mountains of Yon are home to korreds (small creatures covered in hair) who are at odds with Endelyn
- Endelyn holds sick perversions of theater in her castle’s amphitheater
- To the west are Fey beacons where an elven prince named Alagarthas is said to be at the beacons after he had a meeting with Endelyn, these may be a way out of Yon
- To the east is the Lockbury Henge where the korreds (small creatures covered in hair) are, they are at odds with Endelyn and might be potential allies
- To the north is the Motherhorn itself
The party asked Amidor to lead them towards Lockbury Henge
A ways down the path, they saw several giant goats on the path
Amidor said that some creatures here have the ability to see prophecies on the winds
The three goats bleated in turns, each saying part of a prophecy, seemingly about how they might defeat Endelyn

“When the moon obstructs the sun, creeping Lyn will come undone”
“Play to her passions, stay on script, a cat, a horn, or a shadow ripped”
“The fool’s scepter is the key”
Fearing that they now owed the goats for the information, they offered news of their exploits, killing the two hags and heading to third in return for the prophecy
They bow and said they would have preferred potatoes but the information will satisfy Rule of Reciprocity
They come around the next turn in the path to see a large outcrop with eight megaliths (henges) on top in a circular formation, each henge is made of a different type of stone (marble, slate, shale, and chalk among others) (Lockbury Henge)
PB noticed that in the center is the remnants of a fire and checker board with stone pieces on the ground of various creatures made with two sets of creatures, one of shale and one of chalk
He also noticed two sets of small hoofprints in the soot leading from the campfire to two of the stones, one made of shale and chalk
PB examined the game board and noticed it looks similar to pond jumpers (a game he played when he was younger), the game looks like it was interrupted one move before a “checkmate”
He moved the piece to finish the game and hears woops and hollers and then two sets of korreds appear from the pillars
The one that was cheering, introduced herself as Queen Argantle, and thanked PB for helping her win the game against the other korred that came from the other pillar
She squeezed a rock in her hand and turned it into a star sapphire (1000gp) to give to PB in return for helping her win the game
Suddenly, the faint sound of pickaxes from somewhere was carried on the winds
Queen Argantle picked up a boulder and threw it saying “Death to the brigganocks” and several of the others started throwing boulders as well until the sound died down
She said the brigganocks are helping Endelyn build contraptions in their mines and the korreds have been building scary statues outside the mines to try to deter their work
She also said that a galeb duhr (stone elemental type thing) had infiltrated the mine and found a secret tunnel that connects the mines to the interior levels of the Motherhorn
Queen Argantle said that the henges correspond to the eight clans of the korreds and that she will gather them if the party wanted to attack the mines and help them defeat the brigganocks
