The party is at Lockbury Henge with korreds
They decided they would go scout out the mines where the brigganocks are ahead of working with korreds to siege the mines
They stopped at one of the lightning rods scattered among the mountains to investigate it
Barnabus sent his homunculus to investigate closer but it landed on the moon and got electrocuted to death
He took of his metal armor and flew towards it himself
He noted that there were handholds on the “pole” that would let one climb it
While he was there, he noticed the lightning strikes would build up a charge that would periodically get routed to the Motherhorn castle
They continued on towards the brigganocks mine
As they approached the structure, they could hear pickaxes on stone, emanating from a cave mouth
There were statues surrounding the entrance to the mines that the korreds had told the party that they had set up to scare the brigganocks
Barnabus decides to fly up towards the entrance and saw it was about 8ft x 3ft and could definitely tell that the sound of the pickaxes was coming from the entrance, but couldn’t see very far into the tunnel itself
PB and Melina decide to approach the mouth of the cave acting as travelers lost in the Feywild while Amrynn and Barnabus stayed back to see what happened
As soon as they cross the threshold, the sound of the pickaxes stopped abruptly
They called out to announce themselves, but got no response
After a few minutes and getting a bit further, the hammering noises started back up again so they turned back and got Barnabus and Amrynn
When they re-entered the cave, the hammering stopped and restarted a few minutes later again
As they got deeper into the mines, the hammering took on a sort of rhythmic melody
Amrynn noted some faint footprint and hoofprints of something like pack animals that PB noticed were likely from pack ponies
The rhythmic hammering made them start to feel drowsy, Melina was vibing with the music and Amrynn’s elf nature made him immune to the magical effect
They decided to try to drag PB and Barnabus out of the cave
A squeak sounded behind them as they were dragging them out and they saw eight little mouse creatures
Melina said that they are lost and several of the creatures ran away at her starting to talk
She didn’t seem very convincing and the few remaining creatures quickly ran off into the small side tunnels
They dragged them the rest of the way out but PB and Barnabus did not awake
Melina went back in leaving Amrynn with the two sleeping adventurers, he said that he would try to use his magic to wake them and follow after if she was not back in 20 minutes
A ways down the path, a human stepped into the path and introduced themselves as Molliver who said they help the brigganocks deal with trespassers who try to steal their wish stones that they mine
After some initial discussions and Melina convincing them that the party wasn’t a thread, Molliver brought her back to the cave entrance as PB and Barnabus were coming to
Molliver said that the korreds were working for the hag, Endelyn Moongrave
She also said the hag sees the future and cannot be killed as she can see any attempt on her life in advance
Their best engineer Golmo has been captured by the hag to make her contraptions
Melina mentioned that the korreds were also afraid of the hag and that they
A trial to cross the Rivenwish chasm to talk to the elder of the brigganocks to convince him to talk with the korreds
When anyone makes a wish in the Feywild it turns into wishstone, the evil wishes are thrown into the chasm
They made it to the chasm and there was a single 100ft bridge spanning the chasm, the space below the bridge was dark and dotted with glowing purple orbs
Melina sent her echo ahead of her on the bridge and stepped on the bridge behind them a ways
Three flaming skulls rose from below, floating about 10ft above the bridge, they attacked with fire rays as she approached
Barnabus ran past Melina and the flame skulls focused on him, when he was over half way across the bridge the flame skull said “Congratulations” and then ignored him
Seeing this, the rest of the party quickly made their way across the bridge with little incident
When they all made it across the bridge, the skulls said “Congratulations, you have passed the trial of the Rivenwish chasm”
Down the tunnel a bit further, they came to a grotto with a pony that has a small hut strapped to its back
Obed, the elder of the brigganocks, came to the doorway of the hut and introduced himself
He said he would be open to teaming up with the korreds but was under the impression that they were under the control of Endelyn
He gave Melina a gemstone (worth 100g) in exchange for a lollipop
Amrynn asked him about the tunnel to the Motherhorn and he confirmed that they have a tunnel that leads to the basement of the castle that the hag doesn’t know about
He said that he didn’t know much about the Fey beacons other than some guy was running around trying to light all the beacons but they kept going out
The lightning rods were only put up when the hag took control
After he agreed to meeting with the korreds, the party left Obed to go talk to the korreds to convince them to meet as well
The brigganocks led them out of the mines and healed Melina from the minor burns she had from facing the flaming skulls in the chasm
